Framework E is leading the renovation of the historic Saint Andrews Recreation Center in southwest Detroit, originally built in 1926. This legendary facility has shaped some of Detroit’s most prominent basketball stars and will now serve a new generation. Detroit PAL has partnered with several local nonprofits to give the center a new purpose. The new center will feature basketball courts and various community spaces including a computer lab, commercial kitchen and a cafeteria, and a food pantry for local non-profits to host food drives on-site. Framework E led the design for a fully upgraded retrofitted mechanical system complete with all new duct work, replacing the old boiler system with a new forced air system with contemporary RTUs. ADA accessibility has been provided including an approach ramp and internal lift.
